The president of the EMCA, Jan O. Lundström, together with the Board and EID Atlantique wish to invite you to the
IXth INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE of the EUROPEAN MOSQUITO CONTROL ASSOCIATION
which will take place in
La Rochelle, France,
from 11 to 14 March 2019.
The leading title of this conference, “MOSQUITO CONTROL WITHOUT BORDERS”, has been chosen by the EMCA Board in view of the growing influence of globalisation on the mosquito fauna of Europe and the consequences for Public Health Issues and control methods. In many cases the only way to control epidemics is by means of vector (mosquito) control because of the lack of vaccines or effective medication. Harmonization of control strategies in European countries as well as new standards for techniques beyond the borders of classical mosquito control methods will be presented and discussed in order to spur on the exchange of knowledge among research institutions, the mosquito control industry and policy makers.
