The president and the Board together with the heads of the organising committee, Dr. Carlos Barceló and Prof. Miguel Á. Miranda (UIB), cordially invite you to attend our XI International Conference of the EMCA to be held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from 7th to 10th November 2023, entitled “SHAPING THE FUTURE OF THE VECTOR CONTROL IN EUROPE”.
The 4th EMCA Training Course on laboratory activities with two parts “A- IDENTIFICATION OF NON TARGET FAUNA IN TRAPPINGS; B- MOSQUITO REARING AND REPPELLENT TESTING” will precede the Conference on the 6th November 2023. Participation to this training course is limited to 25 trainees.

Second announcement (registration forms, instructions of abstracts submission, preliminary program): 1st April 2023
Beginning of registration and submission of abstracts: 30th June 2023
End of abstract submission1: 15th August 2023
Late registration without abstracts: 16th August to 15th September 2023
1Abstracts will only be considered for acceptance when the registration fee has paid in by the author.
6. TOPICS
There will be room for nine sessions. Some will be introduced by keynotes. We kindly ask our members to propose topics for consideration by the scientific committee, which will be headed by Francis Schaffner.
7. EXCURSIONS AND CONFERENCE DINNER
On Tuesday 9/11/23 afternoon a combination of a culture-visit to the Palma old town where a demonstration of mosquito control will take place. A gala dinner will follow.
