XII INTERNATIONAL EMCA CONFERENCE & V EMCA TRAINING COURSE, ANTWERP, BELGIUM, 1st ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear EMCA Members, dear Global Vector Control Community, 

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the XII International European Mosquito Control Association (EMCA) Conference, scheduled to take place from March 25th to March 28th, 2025. This event will be hosted at the renowned Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM), a leading center for tropical disease research and training in Antwerp, Belgium. The venue with its unique blend of tradition and modernity offers an inspiring setting for our conference. 

This year's theme, "Ready for Action: Advances in Mosquito Control," reflects our commitment to driving forward the science, technology, and practices essential for effective management of mosquitoes and other vectors. Join us as we explore the latest research, innovative techniques, and practical solutions to the ever-evolving challenges posed by mosquitoes and the pathogens they can carry. 

In addition to the conference, we are pleased to offer the V EMCA 1-day Training Course on Insecticide Resistance in Mosquitoes, which will take place on March 24th. This intensive course will provide valuable insights and hands-on experience in addressing mosquito insecticide resistance, an increasingly critical issue in our field. 

Attendees will benefit from a dynamic programme featuring distinguished keynote speakers, high-quality research presentations, an exciting science slam, and invaluable networking opportunities. Join us for a panel discussion on the generalizability and key factors for successfully transferring vector control strategies across different European countries. This discussion will examine our ability to develop adaptable and resilient operational responses to vector-borne diseases. How ready are we for action?
